September 4, 2012One of our best weeks ever! As we approach the fall growing season, we’re also approaching 400 lbs, a record for our ministry. Thank you for your contributions. Remember, as the weather cools, it’s a great time to get lettuce, spinach, radishes, broccoli and cauliflower in the ground. 75 days of growth can yield a great year-end harvest.

61 lbs!
August 29, 2012Thanks to all who donated produce last weekend. We received 61 lbs of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, bring our year-to-date total over the 300 lbs mark. Cool weather will soon be upon us. So if you haven’t already, plan on getting lettuce, spinach and radishes in the grand. And if you grew potatoes this year, get ready!

65 lbs!
August 7, 2012Great haul Sunday, August 5. Between our two donation locations and the Sycamore garden, we amassed more than 65 lbs of donated produce. Donations included tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, butternut squash and beans. Thank you for your generosity and keep those gardens going!

Update!
July 30, 2012We just learned from our friends at the First Harvest Garden on Main and Sycamore that they are able to add another 28 lbs to this week’s total, bringing us to 84 lbs. Donations include yellow and red tomatoes, zucchini, cabbage and a variety of peppers.
